METALLICA's Lars Ulrich Might Move Back To Denmark If Donald Trump Becomes President

Metallica would be an international act!

Metallica would be an international act!

With the 2016 Presidential Election only a month away, the panic is real here in America. In fact, I'd say the panic is more real than its ever been before a presidential election, at least in my lifetime (so 1990 onward). Now we've got Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich weighing in on the situation, and he's being just about as blunt as anyone else who's anti-Trump – if he's elected, Lars might be back home in Denmark.

In an interview with Ekstra Bladet, translated by Blabbermouth, Lars says he's still a Danish citizen, can go back whenever he wants, and can't vote in the election because of it.

"Yes, certainly sometimes I think about moving home to Denmark. I'll stick to my Danish passport. If Trump becomes president and everything goes to shit, I might make my way to the airport and ask if I can get back in again."

At least the new Metallica album will be out by then.

Lars joins a growing stable of musicians who have spoken out against Trump. Kerry King, Corey Taylor, Wes Borland, Randy Blythe and Tool's Maynard James Kennanhave all come out against Trump. Heck, Muncipal Waste made it very clear what they think of the Republican nominee, while Avenged Sevenfold and Marilyn Manson took a more apathetic stance.
