The outlet reports that law enforcement sources told them a welfare check was requested by an acquaintance who hadn't heard from the singer and was worried something may have happened to them. TMZ says multiple officers attempted to make contact with Manson in his Hollywood home, but were unable to make contact.
At one point an LAPD helicopter circled the neighborhood and shined a light onto the property. Manson never answered, but a representative reached out to the cops to say everything was fine and Manson just didn't want to come out.
Manson was accused by actress Evan Rachel Wood, and five other women of abuse. Wood officially named Manson as her abuser on February 1st. As Wood made her announcement, she was signal-boosting other women who began speaking of the abuse they alleged Manson caused to them. She also boosted a Twitter thread from this past fall of a former Manson personal assistant backing her claims. Another accuser has since come forward saying Manson pulled a gun on her and accused him of drugging his girlfriend at the time.
Wood's testimony detailed being mentally and physically tortured by an older man when she was 18-years-old. It was public knowledge that Wood began dating Marilyn Manson in 2006 when she was 18 and he was 36. You can see the details of her accusations here.
