DC Comics' Dark Knights: Death Metal series is taking on a new form in 2021. The series will continue as the Dark Nights: Death Metal – Band Edition, which according to DC will represent a "cross-section of metal music from across genres and generations."

The new series will feature the following bands alongside the following cover artists:

  • Issue #1: Megadeth with cover artist Juanjo Guarnido
  • Issue #2: Ghost with cover artist Werther Dell’ Edera
  • Issue #3: Lacuna Coil with cover artist Timpano / Antonio Fuso
  • Issue #4: Opeth with cover artist Mathieu Lauffray
  • Issue #5: Sepultura with cover artist Albuquerque / Pedro Mauro
  • Issue #6: Dream Theater with cover artist Santi Casas
  • Issue #7: Ozzy Osbourne with cover artist Marco Mastrazzo

Dark Nights: Death Metal – Band Edition will begin in March 2021. You can check out the covers below, which are all equally astonishing. Though I think my favorite is a very close race between how creepy Opeth looks and how evil Dream Theater looks.
