It's been a big week for metal in the mainstream. It started with Dragonforce getting some airtime during an NFL game, and now we've got Nita Strauss joining in on the fun! Nita Strauss will play the National Anthem for a boatload NASCAR fans at the 2024 Busch Light Clash At The Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA on February 4. The performance will be televised live on FOX at 5pm PST/8pm EST.
"Nita Strauss can excite a crowd like no other," said Ben Kennedy, NASCAR's Senior Vice President, Racing Development and Strategy. "Her mastery on the guitar will invigorate everyone in attendance, and we're thrilled to have her play to our fans before the Busch Light Clash."
For those unaware, the Busch Light Clash is the pre-season NASCAR Cup Series exhibition event held before the season-opening Daytona 500. And for those who don't care, Nita Strauss rules and we're thrilled that she's getting the attention she deserves! I just hope that one super drunk Indy 500 guy is there.
