LADY GAGA Reveals Her Favorite Metal Song (Spoiler: It's A BLACK SABBATH Classic)

Can one be a metalhead and a little monster? Yes!

Can one be a metalhead and a little monster? Yes!

Lady Gaga is a self-professed metalhead. She's said Iron Maiden changed her life, lounges in Anthrax shirts was spotted at a SXSW metal show, so the girl's cred is in tact.

During a recent Reddit AMA, Gaga opened up about her love of metal when one Redditor asked: "I'm a heavy metal dude and you're my guilty pleasure music when nobody is watching. What's music do you like that is strange or out of character to you?" Gaga's response was of course to drop some metal names:

I'm actually also a metal dudette, worked at a metal bar for years, and was a go-go dancer at rockn'roll clubs. Last night when i got my tattoo of the monster paw, I was listening to Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, AC/DC, Judas Priest. And then other times I listen to Sigur Ros and nature sounds: like birds, water, and such.

But on other nights, i like to slug whisky and scream Bruce Springsteen and Garth Brooks with my dad in the bar at his restaurant. I have a lot of different sides to my personality, but even MORE different sides musically.

Although Gaga loses points for the phrase "dudette," it's awesome to see her spreading the good gospel of heavy metal. Naturally, somebody followed up by asking her what her favorite metal song was and her response was pretty much perfect:

BLACK SABBATH By. BLACK SABBATH. I need to write a song called "LADY GAGA" its the most metal thing you can do!

If you're going to have a favorite, why not the one song that practically started heavy metal.

I'd like to end this post with a video of Gaga dancing on stage to Metallica:
