TYPE O NEGATIVE "Be My Druidess"
Ok, so when I ran into Frank this week at the Katatonia show in NYC, I was chatting with him about this article idea when he suggested I listen to Type O Negative's album, October Rust. Now as it happens, Type O was one of those bands who had kind of flown off my radar and I'd never thought to take the time to check them out. Now that I've listened to the album, I feel sufficiently embarrassed about this and am obligated to put a song off this fantastic album on this list. I'm doubly glad about putting this song here because it sounds so much like The Cure, but I figured I'd be crucified by the "IT'S NOT METAL" brigade if I tried to slip "Lullaby" onto this list.
