BLACK SABBATH "Children of the Grave"
A list like this simply would not be complete the original masters of doom and gloom themselves, Black Sabbath. An eternal fan favorite, "Children of the Grave" is certainly one their spookiest songs. It also happens to be one of the many classics habitually ignored by classic rock radio for reasons I'm not sure I'll ever understand. Songs like "Black Sabbath", "Under the Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes", "Lord of this World", and "Hand of Doom" make for an equally haunting experience for that late-night drive home from the show, or a horror movie, or whatever floats your boat.
