Capharnaum
Capharnaum are like the Keyser Soze of metal. They popped up out of nowhere and released one killer album, 2004’s Fractured, and like that…they were gone. Only this time, we know the identities of the illusive parties involved. It’s the Suecof brothers, Jordan and Jason, alongside members of Trivium, Monstrosity and Martyr. Yes, Jason is busy producing metal bands left and right and yeah, Matt Heafy is probably more interested in keeping the Trivium machine rolling these days, but that Capharnaum record they unleashed is just too damn good leave us hanging like that. It’s been ten years and those precision riffs, guitar shredding and mind boggling rhythmic patterns are still some of the best technical death metal since, well, Human era Death. Make time for a sequel fellas.
