Vehemence

These Arizona hessians cranked out two stellar releases on Metal Blade during the early days of the millennium before self-destructing in 2005. The band’s pummeling take on melodic death metal felt like a cross between old-school In Flames meets Immolation and was utterly infectious. Their 2002 masterwork, God Was Created, earned tons of praise from critics and fans alike and featured some of the most gloriously depraved lyrics one could imagine. Helping the World to See, their 2004 follow up album, seemed poised to keep the good times rolling but unfortunately, line-up changes and ya know, life, put a stop to that. The band reformed in 2007 and has played a handful of shows throughout the Southwest but new music has yet to appear, although the band has announced plans to finally start recording soon.
