Cephalic Carnage

The world’s leading purveyors of “Rocky Mountain hydro grind,” Cephalic Carnage spent most of the 2000’s basking in the limelight of their 2002 magnum opus, Lucid Interval. The band’s frenetic musical stylings, running the gamut from grindcore and death metal to jazz/prog fusion, coupled with their wildly entertaining live show, kept legions of metal fiends and ardent stoners’ heads banging all decade long. Since the release of the ambitiously technical Misled by Certainty in 2010, the band has kept a relatively low profile with limited touring activity and no new music in four years. There are rumblings of a new Cephalic Carnage album in the works floating on the interwebs, let’s hope this material surfaces sooner rather than later.
