The Red Chord

These Massachusetts deathcore pioneers haven’t broken up or officially disbanded…they’re just in a “state of limbo right now,” according to guitarist Mike “Gunface” Mckenzie. It’s been five years since their last record, 2009’s Fed Through the Teeth Machine, and as the [gasps] ten year anniversary of their mind fuck masterpiece, Clients, approaches, I think it’s damn time we got more math influenced mosh riffs and death metal hysterics from these dudes. The Red Chord were lauded in their day for their world class mashups of brutality and technicality, as well as their exciting and totally irreverent live shows. Given the current state of world affairs, what mankind needs now than anything, is fresh Guy Kozowyk stage banter and new Gunface riffs.
