GENGHIS TRON Streams First New Song In 13 Years "Dream Weapon"

Clean vocals and a very, very driving drum track.

Genghis Tron has finally announced their first new album in 13 years Dream Weapon and is streaming the title track to the album right now. It's certainly less chaotic than their old material, but really pumps up the catchiness in its place.

"I think one difference in our approach for this album was that we had a strong sense from the outset of what kind of vibe we wanted to create," said keyboardist Michael Sochynsky. "Something more cohesive, meditative and hypnotic."

"Though it sounds a bit different than our previous albums, I don't think we approached Dream Weapon any differently than the others," said guitarist Hamilton Jordan. "Michael and I take years to write and trade demos, with about 80% of our ideas landing on the cutting-room floor. Once we have a rough song idea we both like, we write dozens of drafts of a song over months before we end up with a final demo."

Dream Weapon is Genghis Tron's first new album with vocalist Tony Wolski and drummer Nick Yacyshyn (Sumac, Baptists). Dream Weapon was produced by Kurt Ballou (High On Fire, Converge, etc.) at God City Studio, with additional production and engineering by Ben Chisolm (Chelsea Wolfe) and JJ Heath, and was mastered by Heba Kadry (Yob, The Body, Liturgy).
