AZUSA (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, EXTOL) Streams New Song "Monuments"

This band is so, so good.

Azusa, the band featuring Extol guitarist Christer Espevoll and drummer David Husvik, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan bassist Liam Wilson, and Sea + Air vocalist Eleni Zafiriadou, will release their new album Loop Of Yesterdays on April 10.

Azusa is streaming their new single "Monument," which they correctly identified as "a mid-tempo banger."

"'Monument' is a mid-tempo banger about false idols, hypocrisy, and the shortcomings of faith systems as a one-size-fits-all recipe for the 'correct' ways of living."

Loop Of Yesterdays was mixed by Nick Terry (Serena ManeeshKvelertak, Turbonegro), mastered by Jens Bogren (OpethAt The GatesBetween The Buried And Me), and features a guest guitar solo from Alex Skolnick (Testament) on the song "Detach." The music video for "Monument" was directed by Troll Toftenes.
