TONY IOMMI Confirms TONY MARTIN-Era BLACK SABBATH Albums Will Be Reissued In 2023

Finally.

Black-Sabbath-Tony-Martin-1

The Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath was originally thought to be reissued in 2022, but obviously that isn't happening. Martin then said in a more recent interview that he believes the reissues have been pushed to 2023, saying the band is "re-releasing the [Tony Martin era records]. I have no idea what's happening with it. I know it's going to be next year, but that's all I know."

Now Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has confirmed the reissues are indeed coming in 2023, saying in a tweet from December 29 "Cozy Powell would have been 75 today. Looking forward to the release of the IRS albums in 2023, a tribute to his great playing."

For those unaware, Powell drummed on Black Sabbath's Headless Cross, Tyr, and Forbidden albums with Martin on vocals. Those albums, along with Cross Purposes, were all released on the now-defunct I.R.S. Records.
