New King Diamond is slowly but surely happening. It all began in 2019 with the single "Masquerade Of Madness" and the promise of a new record called The Institute. While The Institute hasn't surfaced just yet, King Diamond recently hit the road and played two new songs called "Spider Lilly" and "Electro Therapy" live. So y'know, we all got some renewed hope that The Institute was coming eventually.
King Diamond has now revealed that a studio version of "Spider Lilly" is coming on December 17 alongside a music video. No word on if The Institute will also be formally announced that day either, but hey – new King Diamond single in 2024. We'll take it.
King Diamond is also hitting the road across Europe this spring and summer for a handful of festival dates and some venue shows with Paradise Lost, Angel Witch, and Unto Others. Get all the dates below (with their corresponding openers). Tickets are available here.
