Ozzy Osbourne is teasing a new single "Patient Number 9" for this Friday, which means we're also probably getting an album announcement as well. All we know about the single so far is that it appears to be coming with an animated music video created by Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn and co-creator of Venom. So that's pretty cool. As for the music, there's not really much to go off of yet – some clean guitar riffs loom and a very insane looking Ozzy Osbourne takes front and center before the title card crops up and cuts it all off.
All we know about the new record right now is that it has quite a few guest musicians and is tentatively due out this September. So far that list includes producer Andrew Watt playing guitar, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith on drums, and then contributions by:
- Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi
- Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde
- Guitarist Jeff Beck
- Guitarist Eric Clapton
- Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready
- Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist and vocalist Josh Homme
- Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan
- Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo
Smith recently noted that Ozzy to get Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame on the album, but it unfortunately didn't happen.
