Dredg released four pretty great albums between 1998 and 2009, took a hard left turn stylistically with Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy in 2011 and then fell silent aside after their tour schedule wrapped up in 2014. In that same year, drummer Dino Campanella confirmed the band was on indefinite hiatus to explore other creative avenues.
Campanella said at the time "In a situation like this a lot of bands jump to conclusions and decide to break up, but we never had any intentions of breaking up," leaving the door open to eventually come back if they so chose to. Which they have.
Details are scarce right now, but Dredg has taken to Facebook to announce they'll released a new record in 2019 alongside some cool merchandise and a tour.
