BARONESS Announce Release Date For Yellow & Green

Southern metal lords Baroness have finally announced a release date for new 2CD album Yellow & Green.  This last year has been spent entirely dedicated to writing the third LP with producer John Congleton (Explosions In The Sky, Blue Record,) which will be released on July 17^th through Relapse.  The Georgia based quartet have done a service to the metal community by doing sludge metal that has a hip catchy vibe to it, breathing new life into a genre that was honestly sort of dead until they showed up.  Yellow & Green should establish Baroness as one of the most important metal bands of the last decade based on the chart success of their previous album.  Upcoming tour dates previewing Yellow & Green have been announced for Spring with Meshuggah and can be seen here.
