POST MALONE Claims OZZY Said Their Collaboration Was His Favorite "Since The Sabbath Days"

I would take it with a grain of salt that Ozzy would feel that his two verse contribution here was better than any and all of his solo albums.

While some Post Malone fans might just be hearing of legendary metal frontman Ozzy Osbourne for the first time, after the two collaborated on a track on Post's new album, Malone obviously has a huge respect for the Prince of Darkness.

In a recent interview, Malone was asked Zane Lowe for Beats 1 how the two polar opposites came together (along with Travis Scott) in the studio for the track "Take What You Want." Malone revealed it was all thanks to chance:

“Ozzy Osbourne, baby. I was in Utah because I had just got off tour. It’s good, right? Ozzy went over to [producer Andrew] Watt’s house. You’ve talked a lot before. He’s a maniac.

“I said, ‘Hey, you know what? Ozzy Osborne’s coming down, we’re going to cut it and I’ll FaceTime you. And you let me know what’s going on.

“We talked and it was, like, a big deal. Yeah. Ozzy Osbourne. I think he crushed it. I mean, he was talking to Watt and Watt was telling me he was like this, ‘Yo, this is my favorite that I’ve done since, you know, Sabbath and since I started my own, own way.’

“I was like, ‘That’s huge.’ I’m, like, honored. ‘Thank you very much.'”

I would take it with a grain of salt that Ozzy would feel that his two verse contribution here was better than any and all of his solo albums, but Posty gonna post, I guess.

Earlier this year, Ozzy dealt with both a bad bout of pneumonia and then re-awakening some old (and serious) injuries during a bad fall. The Prince of Darkness has since recovered at home and has rescheduled some of the dates for 2020 (including North America).
