I don't know if you guys are following this whole politics thing, but it seems like U.S. President Donald Trump has quite a few detractors in the metal scene, and the hardcore scene is no different.
After wrapping up a successful run on the final Warped Tour, Every Time I Die frontman Keith Buckley took to Twitter to point out an observation of the people in the pit every night for their show:
on a personal note, with over half a million tickets sold to Warped this year, I didn’t see a SINGLE maga hat. and I looked. say what you will about the bands playing, you can’t deny that the kids of summer are gonna be okay

This led to a Trump supporter noting he would no longer support the band, which Buckley seemed none too bothered by:
When a fan noted that this might rile up the Proud Boys, a violent gang of far-right supporters, Buckley was again – not phased and offered this bit of advice:
at what point in my 25 year involvement with a socially conscious hardcore/punk scene did I give anyone the impression that I would pander to bigots? my band doesn’t need you. nobody does. smash nazis at every turn

Smash the fash! seems like a good hook for the next ETID song.
