Hi, what are you looking for?

Fuck Yes!

Phil Anselmo's SUPERJOINT RITUAL is Reuniting at Housecore Horror Fest This Halloween!

Does it smell like weed in here?

Does it smell like weed in here?

My favorite non-Pantera Phil Anselmo project was Superjoint Ritual. Phil teamed up with Jimmy Bower and Hank 3 to create this disgusting southern-tinged metal band and I loved it. Unforutnately, the band was active during a very dark period in Phil's life, so he put it to rest for a while.

The band will be getting together to jam for the first time in forever this Halloween at Anselmo's Housecore Horror Film and Music Fest. Phil had this to say about the reunion:

“If people want to hear Superjoint jam a badass set, then we're all for giving the people what they want! You wanna hear it? Then bring your asses to Austin, Texas, this October 23-26!”

No word on if any other dates are planned but I wouldn't hold my breath.

GWAR, Voivoid, Corrections House, Mobile Death Camp and War Master round out the lineup. Here is the full roster of bands playing:
