Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the biggest story of the year is As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesisr being arrested on May 7th for attempting to hire a hitman to murder his wife. The supposed hitman ended up being an undercover cop. Lambesis is currently out on $2 million bond after paying $160,000 to a bail bondsman. At his previous trial, a court date was arranged for September, but it looks as though his next court date is actually much sooner, as in this week!
According to the San Diego Reader, Lambesis will appear at an "other motion hearing" this Friday at 1:30 local time. The hearing was requested by Lambesis' attorney who is expected to request the return of certain items that were seized from Lambesis. No word on what those items are, but we'll find out on Friday. The judge will rule if the items would return to Lambesis ahead of his scheduled trial date in September.
Lambesis is currently under house arrest until his September trial date. Since his release on bail-bond, a message from his crowd-funded side project, Austrian Death Machine stated there will be a new album released soon. Lambesis spoke up briefly before immediately deleting cryptic comments on his Facebook and Tumblr page. As for other members of As I Lay Dying, drummer Jordan Mancino will spend the summer filling in for Killswitch Engage.
