Critics and fans alike have had monstrous boners over Fallujah since they dropped last year's The Flesh Prevails. So it is no surprise to read that the Californian death metal band have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
"We're extremely excited to be part of a roster alongside not just great bands, but great people who are dedicated to the craft and enthusiastic about our vision of where we see Fallujah going," comments the band. "Fallujah is all about pushing the envelope, taking risks, and keeping an open mind; with that mentality we felt Nuclear Blast was the most obvious and logical step for a band such as ours."
Nuclear Blast is the clear obvious choice, as their brand of death metal fits right in to Nuclear Blast's current roster. And it is hard for a band like Fallujah, who just blew up, to stay on a label the size of Unique Leader. Their next album, which hasn't even been announced yet, is already highly anticipated.
Fallujah has come a long way since 2009's Leper Colony EP, which led to their signing to Unique Leader. Now with heavy hitters handling distribution, there is no telling what the San Franciscan band will do.
Four days ago, the band announced yet another month-long string of dates, including two appearances at SXSW, with Archspire and Lorna Shore. Next month, Fallujah will be hitting the road with The Contortionist, Revocation, and Toothgrinder.
Busy bees, indeed.
