It seems as though Dave Mustaine is in no rush to find a new permanent drummer for Megadeth.
You might recall how a few months back, after their now infamous taco date that Megadeth announced Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler would be the studio drummer on Megadeth's forthcoming record. Mustaine would drop hints that he would love Adler to be the full time drummer of the band, but Adler has made it clear that Lamb of God is his priority.
Well, it's starting to look more and more like Dave Mustaine is okay with that and willing to work around Adler's Lamb of God schedule to make this work. Megadeth just announced a string of Australian dates, with Adler, and have a Euro tour where Adler is pulling double duty with Lamb of God being direct support for Megadeth.
So what does this mean for Megadeth fans? I think it means shorter tours or perhaps bursts of show at a time that Adler can squeeze in between Lamb of God touring. It's kind of bad timing, seeing as though both bands are just starting the promo cycle for their new album.
But, at the same time, Mustaine doesn't have to tour as much as he did in the past. If anything, it might bring up the value of the band.

No U.S. dates this year. ?
