On September 27, Metallica announced vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield "had to re-enter a treatment program to work on his recovery again." Since then, Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta posted a story about how Hetfield influenced his sobriety, and Lamb Of God vocalist Randall Blythe told the story about how Hetfield saved his life.
Now Hetfield's latest well-wisher is Black Sabbath guitarist and heavy metal legend Tony Iommi. In a brief post, Iommi wishes Hetfield all the best and says he's looking forward to seeing him soon.
My best out to James Hetfield. You’ve done the right thing seeking help – I’m thinking of you my friend and wishing you all the very best on your recovery. Looking forward to seeing you back at your best very soon.
Your pal
