A metal gold medalist! Say that three times fast… it's actually not that hard.

Meet snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg. The Utah native won the first ever snowboard slopestyle event gold medal this weekend, and how did he prepare for the big event? In a new interview with Today.com he reveals:

When did he wake up?
6:50 a.m. to his alarm, then he listened to some music.

Which tunes?
Judas Priest, Metallica and Slayer. "I just started bumping that stuff and getting into a nice mindset for the day."

What did he have for breakfast?
"Some rando healthy stuff," he said, recalling it may have been bran flakes cereal. "I usually don't eat that stuff."

Who doesn't like a good blast of Priest, Slayer or Metallica before doing something important like a job interview or, you know, kicking ass at the Olympics.

Of course, Sage isn't the only metal Olympian. Two years ago, during the summer games, it was revealed that German swimmer Paul Biedermann loves him some Amon Amarth.

Between this and the revelation that Prince Harry loves him some thrash metal, we're not as underground as we once thought we were.
