The NBA hasn't traditionally been associated with heavy metal, but leave it to Oklahoma City Thunder point guard and noted NBA fashionista to break barriers.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are in Los Angeles playing the Lakers tonight and perhaps Westbrook decided to rep some hometown boys by rocking what looks like a "distressed" "vintage" Slayer t-shirt. Oddly, it does not look like the version that H&M sells, or even the overpriced Urban Outfitters version but even NBA reporters question if Westbrook even heard of the band, or is just doing it for fashion…

ESPN SportsCenter joked he is challenging reporter John Clayton, who famously appeared in a commercial for the news show as a Slayer fan.

Westbrook is following what seems like the latest trend in Hollywood, which is wearing vintage metal t-shirts. We've seen Kim Kardashian wear a very rare Metallica t-shirt, Kanye West proudly rocking a Megadeth t-shirt, as well as Kendall Jenner photographed wearing not just a Megadeth shirt but a Slayer t-shirt as well. Justin Bieber has been wearing Metallica and Iron Maiden shirts proving a stressed metal t-shirt (and in this particular instance plum colored tights and an oversized striped t-shirt) are very fashionable nowadays.
