When Scott Stapp was holed up in a Holiday Inn with no cash a few weeks ago, I'm sure he had to ask himself "how could this get any worse?" Stapp was put under psychiatric hold after allegedly saying he was a CIA operative sent to kill Obama. Now, after skipping a recent court appearance, the other shoe most certainly dropped.
TMZ reports that a Florida judge has awarded full custody of Stapp's three children, Daniel, Jagger and Milan, to his soon-to-be ex-wife Jaclyn. TMZ says there is no indication of Stapp even getting visitation rights. The ruling effectively kicks Scott out of his own home, with the judge saying only the children and Jaclyn can live there.
His wife continues to say that Stapp has an addiction to drugs, namely coke, weed and meth. His own son tweeted recently that Scott chose "drugs over his family."
It's a sad situation showing the type of meltdown a huge celebrity can face once their success subsides. As much as I dislike Creed's music (and I really hate it), at this point, I just hope Stapp seeks the help he needs to get better.
