The best of the best jams featuring members of Slayer, Pantera, Anthrax, Megadeth, Testament and more!

It's crazy to think that Metal Masters 5 was two weeks ago. The megajam which featured members of Slayer, Pantera, Megadeth, Anthrax and more getting up on stage and having a good time, was the event to be at on the night of Wednesday, January 22nd.

I was there and even got to get up on stage for a moment to talk about the new site we launched for musicians in heavy metal called Gear Gods. It was exciting to make a joke about bassists while the great Dave Ellefson and Frankie Bello were a mere feet away from me.

There were a lot of great performances. You can of course, watch the whole show in full over at Gear Gods, and the Gear Gods Youtube channel has uploaded a bunch of on-demand clips. I finally got to watch the show and here are, without question, my favorite five covers that were performed.
