Welcome to another great Wednesday of Extreme of the Extreme. This week, featuring The Artisan Era's explosive tech-death band, Demon King. Demon King are stacked, with an absolute all-star lineup for tech-death and are unleashing their new EP The Final Tyranny in February. As such, what's a better way to get the hype up than with a new single?

The new Demon King single, "Tyrannical Reign of the Deceiver", is an impressive blend of technical and melodic death metal. Fusing some more catchy and easier to understand riffs with some absolutely shredding solos. It all makes sense how this three-piece can be such a master of their arts when you start to look at who's in the band though.

Matt Brown (ex-Enfold Darkness) handling all the guitar and vocal duties. Brown is backed up by the blistering drums of Jack Blackburn (ex-Inferi, ex-Enfold Darkness, ex-Vital Remains). Picking up bass duties for Demon King, is their new member Malcolm Pugh (Inferi, A Loathing Requiem, ex-Entheos). With a lineup this dense, it's no wonder why everything melds so well.

Brown gave a bit of insight into The Final Tyranny, saying "For this initial release, I wanted to showcase what I felt were the best elements of my writing during my time with Enfold Darkness…but stepped up and refined. In many ways, it’s a continuation of that early sound. It’s all fast and thrashy, yet lush with melody. Lyrically it’s similar too, with end-times eschatology being a major focus."

So what are you waiting for? "Tyrannical Reign of the Deceiver" is available to listen to now, just check the video below. While you let this beast spin, why not purchase the album through the band's Bandcamp, or The Artisan Era's webshop. It's safe to say that this release will also be topping year end lists a year from now, and this single will prove it.
