Tim Lambesis' AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE Triple Brutal Gets A Release Date; New Song Released

The album will finally be released in April.

The album will finally be released in April.

Tim Lambesis has been embroiled in a legal battle for almost a year after being arrested for allegedly trying to hire a hitman to murder his estranged wife. His wife has also filed a civil suit, and in the filing of the suit, it was revealed that Lambesis' label, Metal Blade, refused to release any of his recordings while he was on trial.

So he found a new label!

Lambesis' solo project, Austrian Death Machine, which crowd-funded $78,120 USD to record the album Triple Brutal has now announced an April 1st release date through Artery Recordings for the effort. The Facebook page of the project announced today that royalties from the sales of the album will be going towards the World Vision Charity, a respected children's charity, which the cynic in me thinks is a fantastic PR move to make people less guilty about buying an album from a potentially convicted felon.

A new track from the project has been released, "I'll Be Back."

ThePRP reports the following artists contributed to the album, but it is unknown if their performances will make the final cut:

Bleeding Through guitarist Dave Nassie
Allegaeon‘s Ryan Gilsan
Impending Doom drummer Brandon Trahan
God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle
The Faceless guitarist Wes Hauch
Carnifex vocalist Scott Lewis
Ex-Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo “The Main Event” Antonucci

Lambesis is due back in court on February 6th. Our coverage of the trial can be found here.
