New THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Album To Feature Strings Performed by SEVEN)SUNS

This album is going to be fucking savage.

This album is going to be fucking savage.

Remember when we posted about SEVEN)SUNS, the Brooklyn-based string quartet, and their fucking terrifying version of "43% Burnt" by The Dillinger Escape Plan? Well, the quartet has reached out to us here at Metal Injection to let us know two extremely valuable pieces of information, one of which being that the group will be performing at the Tribeca New Music Festival in New York City on April 17 at The Cell (and you can get tickets right here).

So why go to the show outside the fact that the quartet is ridiculously talented and deserves your money? According to violinist/violist Earl Maneein, the group will be performing music that reflects its work that was done on the new Dillinger Escape Plan album. Holy shit.

Well, they're their tunes- I had nothing to do with the core writing process. Ben just sent me demos and I came up with string parts that I thought would work and he approved and tweaked what I wrote…we then recorded those parts at Kevin's studio.

Right. So SEVEN)SUNS is going to be destroying The Cell on April 17 and the group is going to be adding an extra layer of badass to the new Dillinger album. Questions?
