Being an avid metal head for over 25 years that runs a company called Metal Injection means I get asked about metal bands on what seems like a daily basis. One of my favorites is the timeless head spinner "What is your favorite album of all time?", because it usually takes me less than a Planck Unit for me to respond with "Marty Friedman's Dragon's Kiss! There is no album in the world I've listened to more, not even close."
So you could imagine the excitement I'm having today to learn that Marty Friedman will not only be releasing his new solo album Inferno in the spring of 2014 (which boasts guest appearances from Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom, David Davidson of Revocation and acoustic duo Rodrigo y Gabriella), but he'll be touring the United States for the first time in 10 years!
While there are no tour dates released yet, we did receive our first taste from the new album today and it sounds amazing! Check it out below.
