Lock Up is back! Not that we though Lock Up had disappeared or anything, but the last we heard from the group in terms of a new full length was in 2011 by way of Necropolis Transparent. The group just took to Facebook to announce that it'll be hitting the studio on November 1 to begin work on a brand new album with Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, etc.) at Parlour Recording Studios.
This will be the band's first album with ex-Brutal Truth vocalist Kevin Sharp in the fold as well! Russell seems pretty stoked on recording the band as well, which is nice.
"I'm absolutely chuffed sick to be back in the studio with my old mates Lockup in a few weeks time. It's been 13 years since we last dipped our toes in the lake of fire, this time we're diving in head first screaming for Satan."
The band stated the album will be out next spring or summer and will be the "most sonically punishing and vicious release to date." Here's hoping!
