KING'S X Will Soon Begin Work On Their First New Album Since 2008

"It's getting done. And that's a good thing."

King's X doesn't come up too much anymore, mainly because its members have been off doing other bands and they haven't put out a record in 10 years. Except now bassist and vocalist Doug Pinnick tells Rock Titan they've decided as a band to follow up 2008's XV.

Pinnick says they've only recently made the decision to begin working on a record and need to work out all the logistics of how they're going to do it, so it'll be a little while.

"We've decided to make a record. We officially decided yesterday. We had a meeting with our manager, and we said, 'Okay. It's a go. Move forward.' So that's the next thing. He's gotta work the contract out, the logistics of where to make the record, who's gonna produce it, where we're gonna stay, how we're gonna do it, how we're gonna rehearse before, how we're gonna go there and write together, how we're gonna bring songs in — how we're gonna do it. So that's the next step. But it's getting done. And that's a good thing. Before, it was just talk for years and years and years. Now we have a commitment. I'll see how long that lasts, but I'm waiting."

Sure, it'll be a wait, but new King's X on the horizon is definitely good news.
