COREY TAYLOR Gives Update On New SLIPKNOT Album

"We don't have a hard date yet 'cause we're lazy."

slipknot 2021

Slipknot said they were mixing their new record back in February, and now they've revealed that they're… well, still mixing their new record. Vocalist Corey Taylor said in an interview with Horror Hub that the record is about halfway mixed and that it should be out sometime this summer.

"We don't have a hard date yet 'cause we're lazy and we're still mixing the damn thing. I can tell you it's completely recorded and we're about halfway through mixing it. So, to me, I would say probably two or three months [from now]. That's my ballpark. I'm hoping; I'm gonna push to get it out then — maybe summertime sometime."

In the meantime, Slipknot will soon hit the road where they'll play some songs they've rarely played or just straight up never played.

"I will tell you this — you're gonna see some songs that haven't been played live in a very long time, straight up," said Taylor in a previous interview. "I just redid the set, and we're dusting some stuff off, and we're bringing out not only some old school shit, but stuff that people have been asking for for a long time. I'm gonna make them play it."
