SLAYER Announces First Reunion Show Of 2025

Louder Than Life is getting its redemption.

Aftershock-2024-18-Slayer

The Slayer reunion is moving into 2025! Slayer will headline the Louder Than Life festival taking place at Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY between September 18 and 21. Slayer was originally booked for Louder Than Life 2024, but had their show cancelled due to extreme weather via Hurricane Helene.

"We can't wait to welcome fans back to finish what we started this year and celebrate the return of Slayer," says Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents. "Our team is hard at work finalizing an incredible lineup that we can't wait to reveal this winter. It's going to be epic, and we can't wait to see everyone back in Louisville next September."

I guess the real question here is if it'll be Slayer's only reunion show of 2025. Slayer played their first shows since 2019 at Riot Fest in September and Aftershock in October, with a possible European date to be announced for 2025. So we'll see what happens.

Danny Wimmer Presents has also announced the benefits for 2024 passholders who were affected by the weather cancelation on Friday, September 27. Single-Day Friday pass holders can receive a full refund, or a credit applied to the purchase of 2025 passes while Weekend pass holders can receive a 25% refund or a credit applied to the purchase of 2025 passes. Fans will receive emails with all the details, including how to activate their offer.

Additional headliners and the full lineup for Louder Than Life 2025 will be announced this winter. Early bird passes will go on sale in November, though you can sign up for the mailing list right here.
