Black Sabbath has finally announced the first round of North American dates, three in the United States and one in Canada.
We usually don't post this late in the day but the moment I saw the press release, I had to share with the Metal Injection junkies.
Black Sabbath has just announced four summer shows, their first in the US since Coachella last year. Here are the dates:
Sun, 8-4 Holmdel, NJ PNC Bank Arts Center
Wed, 8-14 Toronto, ON Air Canada Centre
Sat, 8-24 Seattle, WA Gorge Amphitheatre
Tue, 9-3 Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles Sports Arena
Tickets officially go on sale this Saturday, April 20th through Live Nation and Ticketmaster. A special VIP pre-sale will happen this Thursday for fans who RSVP to this Facebook group.
The press release also confirmed what we reported earlier today, that the band will unveil their first single "God Is Dead?" this Thursday at 3pm eastern on radio stations across the country (and presumably online).
The press release did not state if more dates would be announced but there seems to be some very long gaps between shows which leaves me hopeful that more dates will be announced.
The band will release 13 on June 11th.
