Last night, Ozzy made his first public appearance since he revealed on Good Morning America that he is currently battling Parkin's II. Parkin's II is a form of Parkinson's Disease, and according to Sharon is "not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does effect certain nerves in your body."
Ozzy and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, handed out "Best Rap/Sung Performance." But the real news was what Ozzy said on the red carpet before the show.
"This last year has been hell for me," he said. "I’ve had surgery on my neck, I've announced to the world that I’ve got Parkinson’s — it’s been one rock ’n’ roll year for me."
The interviewer interjected asking if Ozzy still plans on touring and he responded "Well, if I’m well enough. I’ve been working towards it having physical therapy everyday. I’m doing the best I can."
His daughter, Kelly, added "Just coming out and telling his truth has been a huge weight off of his shoulders, and even physical therapists have said how far [he's] come in this last week has been insane."
Ozzy will release his new album Ordinary Man on February 21. Here are his currently scheduled tour dates:
