Killer Be Killed, the supergroup featuring Max Cavalera, Mastodon's Troy Sanders and The Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato, played their first shows recently in Australia during Soundwave Festival. You can see footage here and here.

Whilst watching the footage it made me realize how much I would love to see this combo here in the States, but I figured there would be no point in even getting my hopes up because all of these guys are probably so busy with day jobs. But maybe I can get my hopes up after all. After their Soundwave gig, Puciato spoke to Metal Hammer and offered this promising quote:

“We figured out we’re all free October and November. We want to go back to Australia, go to New Zealand, see if we can go to the UK, look at Brazil, Mexico…

“We can’t do all that, so we’re going to send an email to our agent and say, ‘Figure out how to make as many of them happen as possible.’”

Puciato also mentioned how surprised he was so many people showed up and knew the words. He said he no idea of the impact of the band because when the album came out he was touring with Dillinger:

When you put out a record and it’s not your main band, it’s almost like you’re dropping a bomb – and you don’t look back to see whether it hit anybody. By the time the record came out I was already on another Dillinger tour. I never stopped to pay attention. [..] To have been a festival where it was packed and tons of people knew the lyrics, it was one of the more special experiences I’ve had.

Okay, so New York show please?
