We knew this was coming, they just had to confirm it. At next week's celebration of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman's life, the Westboro bapitist church will stage a protest.
The Church has been adomoment in getting publicity for itself in the wake of this tragedy, saying they plan to sing their parody of "Crazy Train" next Thursday.
WBC to picket @slayer’s Jeff Hanneman’s memorial, May 23, 1pm, @thepalladium in Los Angeles. See ya there, @heavysan? twitter.com/WBCSays/status…

In a perverse way, I am sort of looking forward to the near-riot that will ensue featuring drunken Slayer fans taking out their volatile hostility on the Church. Granted the Church is within their Constitutional right to picket the funeral, but I don't think they have ever been to a Slayer show. This can end up really bad. For everybody's sake, I sure hope there is ample security.
It's highly likely I will not be posting about WBC anymore, I've given them enough publicity.
UPDATE: The Westboro Baptist Church no-showed the memorial. Read our full recap right here.
