Trivium is the latest band to cancel dates overseas due to the rise of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Trivium has cancelled dates in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, and have added they will not make scheduled press stops in Europe right now.
"Due to circumstances outside of our control we have been forced to postpone all of our tour dates in march in Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. We also will not be making a scheduled press stop in Europe at this time. We hope to re-schedule these dates very soon. Thanks, and stay safe."
So far, the coronavirus outbreak has also affected shows from Slipknot, Lacuna Coil, Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel. As of right now according to the World Health Organization, there have been over 95,000 confirmed cases across 79 countries and 3,280 deaths.
Trivium will release their new album What the Dead Men Say on April 24 and will (so far) hit the road this summer with Lamb of God, Megadeth, and In Flames.
