Tim Lambesis Trial

More Court Room Footage of AS I LAY DYING Frontman Tim Lambesis' Trial Surfaces; Steroids Found In His Home

Yesterday morning, the murder-for-hire case of As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis kicked off in a San Diego with a preliminary hearing to decide if there was enough evidence to warrant a trial. There was. The trial is set to begin on October 22nd,and today we have new footage and information from the court room.

Lambesis was arrested on May 7th for attempting to hire a hitman to murder his wife. The supposed hitman ended up being an undercover cop.  Lambesis, who pleaded not guilty, is currently out on $2 million bond after paying $160,000 to a bail bondsman. Lambesis has been on house arrest since release, with few exceptions.

Yesterday, the local CBS affiliate revealed some court room footage of "Red," the undercover detective posing as a hitman revealing that Lambesis told Red that the As I Lay Dying singer wanted his wife dead. Today, in a new report filed by the local NBC affiliate, we hear a bit of testimony from the personal trainer who Lambesis allegedly initially talked to about the possibility of murdering his wife.

New information in the report surfaced about the cops' investigation of Lambesis' home which led to them finding steroids and "male enhancement drugs"

Homicide investigators found a lock box in Lambesis’ Carlsbad home containing “a lot of different quantities” of male enhancement-type drugs, male libido-type drugs and estrogen blocking drugs, Det. John Buckley with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department testified.

There were approximately 30 to 40 vials along with different types of pill packages with more than $12,000 in cash, the detective said.

This is not surprising seeing as the defense will try to use Lambesis' steroid usage as a defense for his irrational behavior. Lambesis looked noticeably smaller at yesterday's hearing, compared to previous court appearances.

Also, the fine journalists at NBC have taught us that Tim's estranged wife Meggan's favorite color is yellow. Thanks for the great reporting, NBC!
