QUIET RIOT To Continue on After Drummer Frankie Banali's Death

Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali passed away at the age of 68 this August after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Banali drummed for Quiet Riot between 1982 and 2020, and played on all the band's records (except for the first two in the 1970s. But that was a whole different lineup).

Quiet Riot has now revealed Banali wanted the band to go on in his absence. Quiet Riot will continue with longtime bassist Chuck Wright, guitarist Alex Grossi, vocalist Jizzy Pearl (ex-L.A. Guns), and drummer Johnny Kelly (Danzig, ex-Type O Negative).

"Quiet Riot – 2020/2021 Because life goes on!

"It was Frankie Banali's wish that the band continue and we keep the music and the legacy alive.

"Chuck Wright has been in the band off and on since 1981 and played not only on the song Metal Health but many other Quiet Riot Albums. Alex Grossi has been in the band since 2004 touring and recording. Jizzy Pearl has been a member of the Quiet Riot family since 2013 and Johnny Kelly has been doing a great job filling in on drums this past year with Frankie's blessing.
