A traffic circle in Jaworzno, a small city in Poland has been renamed the Jeff Hanneman Circle Pit in honor of the late Slayer guitarist.

The name of the traffic circle was put of for auction in a Christmas charity event. The company Art-Com Ltd. won the auction and decided to pay tribute to one of the all-time great thrash guitarists. The Jeff Hanneman Circle Pit will be active for one year. The money donated in the auction will go towards the purchase of specialized equipment for children's emergency medicine and deserving health care of seniors, so everybody wins here.

Hanneman died last year from cirrhosis of the liver.
