OZZY Says He'd "Like To Make An Album," Just Needs To Finish Up Song Ideas

"I'd like to make an album. I'll be doing gigs from time to time. I just know I won't be touring anymore."

Ozzy Osbourne will kick off his farewell tour with Stone Sour in April, though it's only a farewell tour in the sense that he won't be doing massive full-scale tours after this one. He recently revealed Ozzfest will still go on, and he will do spot shows here and there in the future.

As for a confirmation or a denial on a new solo album, we're still not too clear on that one. Ozzy originally said he doesn't think the album format is viable in 2018, though he has been working with Billy Idol's guitarist on music and said there could be one out this year.

Now in an interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy says he'd like to do an album and he's "just got to sit down and work them out. There's never enough time in this house." Interviewer Kory Grow adds that maybe Ozzy could work on the album on the road, but Ozzy says he's not too keen on constantly using his voice like that.

When I'm on the road, when I take a day off, I should try to rest my voice, so it's not a good idea to go and start singing and writing songs. But I've done that in the past.

Ozzy's farewell tour will go well into 2020, so if he's not going to be working on the album on the road, then it's safe to say we probably won't get one for quite some time.
