After endless petitions, Metallica fans have did it!
Today, the band confirmed they will be playing the Super Bowl… pre-show!
Yep, sadly the band were not able to get the halftime slot, which has yet to be confirmed, although rumors have pegged Bruno Mars returning to perform and "curate" the half time show.
Metallica will be taking AT&T Park for an event presented by CBS called "The Night Before" happening… (can you guess?) the night before the big game.

Metallica fans will have access to a special fan club pre-sale on the band's official site. Citi cardmembers can also purchase pre-sale tickets beginning on Wednesday, November 4 at 10:00 a.m. PT through Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 p.m. PT. via Citiprivatepass.com, with the general on-sale happening Friday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster.
Maybe Metallica will even crank out a new song since they're in the studio right now?
