Now Andreas Is Cool With A SEPULTURA Reunion?

Holy shit, Andreas, I can't believe you! Let's do a quick recap: About a year ago, news surfaced that Max Cavalera wanted to reunite the original Sepultura lineup but Andreas refused/resisted. Then Max kept talking shit about Sepultura and how Paolo is old. We giggled a bit. Finally, last month, the current incarnation of the band released a video saying there was no reunion and Sepultura as is will tour throughout 2011. Fine, we thought. We can all move on with our lives. That was until somebody decided to interview Andreas about the possibility of the reunion and he backpedaled.

Blabbermouth reports:

In a brand new interview with Brazil's Novo Metal, guitarist Andreas Kisser of Brazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA was asked about the possibility of a reunion of the band's classic lineup, featuring Max Cavalera on guitar/vocals and Max's brother, Igor, on drums. "[It's] not impossible," he replied, "but we cannot do something just for the sake of doing it. We would have to establish a new identity, [and rebuild the] friendship [between us]."

He continued, "Max has been talking a lot about this reunion [in recent interviews], perhaps because his other bands, CAVALERA CONSPIRACYand SOULFLY, are not as good as SEPULTURA. But if a reunion was to take place, it would have to be something decent. And only time will tell [if something like that can happen]."

What the fuck Andreas? I thought there was not going to be a reunion. Just say NO it's not happening. Why do you have to say that there might be a chance? And, if there is a chance of a reunion, wouldn't you insulting Max's current projects hinder the chances of such a reunion taking place? These are grown adults acting like children. Didn't your parents ever teach you to share?

A few months ago I thought it would be cool to see a Sepultura reunion. Now, after all this drama in the press, I'm sort of over it. Anybody else?
