Dragonforce has always been referred to as "video game metal" pretty much ever since their 2005 smash hit "Through The Fire And Flames", mostly because of the impossibly shreddy guitar work. Now the band seems to be leaning into the joke, as they've begun having gigantic arcade games on stage with them. You can watch the band's performance with those games at the Elb-Riot festival in Hamburg, Germany. This also happened to be their last show with bassist Frédéric Leclercq.
Dragonforce will release Extreme Power Metal on September 27. That record's cover and pre-order options are also video game-themed. You can catch the band, their games, Dance With The Dead, and Starkill, at one of the dates below.
