Conquering Dystopia's debut 2014 album was well-received, and for good reason – it was instrumental metal done incredibly well. So isn't it pretty exciting that we'll be getting a followup to that album sometime soon-ish?
For those unfamiliar, Conquering Dystopia consists of guitarists Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy, ex-Nevermore) and Keith Merrow (Demisery, Merrow), bassist Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse, Blotted Science), and drummer Alex Rudinger (ex-The Faceless, Good Tiger). It seems as though work has just begun on the new album, so even a 2017 release might be an unrealistic expectation.
On the positive side of things, at least we know one quality instrumental metal album will be out sometime in the future!
